Look at the price of oil!
Published on 5th December, 2008 at 13:49 by Eric Mowinski.
The fall in the price of oil has been cliff edge. Is this the right time to buy?
The recent decline of global economies leading into recession has led to a slide in the price oil price.
It was only a few months ago that the price reached $147 a barrel. It now trades at $45 a barrel. So is this a good time to buy? The arguments for investment are still strong. There is a limited supply and the demand from developing economies will still be there when economies recover.
Five years ago we were looking at a price of around $60. This is a speculative investment but on a longer term view may seem to be a good price to get in.
