Landmark’s Blog
Difficult time for investors
Published on 2nd August, 2011 at 12:11 by Eric Mowinski B.Sc.
Recent events in America have done nothing to create stability in the financial markets.
The Americans finally came to a decision to extend their debt ceiling although it remains to be seen whether this is just a temporary measure.
Light at the end of the tunnel has been seen by the continued strong earnings of major corporates. In the midst of the current economic carnage, large companies have continued to reduce their debt and improve earnings and many are producing exceptional dividend yields. Perhaps they can lead the way out of this turmoil.
